There is lots to do in the New Forest, here are a few ideas:

Go for a walk along the coast at Milford-On-Sea and enjoy the views of the Isle of Wight

Look out for local shows. To the North of Brockenhurst is New Park, which is the annual home of the New Forest Show, held in late July

Visit the gardens at Exbury or Furzey

Take a ferry from Lymington to the Isle of Wight

Visit Rhinefield and Bolderwood Ornamental Drives . These are beautiful all year round, but perhaps at their best in early November, with ancient beech trees displaying spectacular autumn colours

Visit the Bolderwood Deer Sanctuary to see the deer

Use the hop-on-hop-off open top buses to tour the New Forest

Explore the depths of the ancient woodlands. Set out on foot, rent a bike, hire a pony and follow a way-marked trail through the forest, stopping off at a local pub for lunch
